Description:	The Kauri Museum tells the fascinating story of pioneering settlers through the theme of Kauri. Come and experience the awesome history of the mighty Kauri tree, its beautiful timber and fascinating gum. Over 85,000 visitors a year, this internationally acclaimed museum is the largest undercover attraction in Northland. There is a magnificent collection of antique Kauri furniture and the largest collection of Kauri Gum in the world. There is a fantastic Museum shop which has the best selection of Kauri products in New Zealand. The museum is open every day (except Christmas Day), 9am - 5pm.
