ITOC Conference 2008

NZ Inbound in Queenstown - Pure Inspiration

Introduction & Key Themes

The 2008 ITOC Conference will be held 19/20 August in Queenstown, based at the Millennium Hotel. Last year was our biggest conference ever so we're keeping a similar format that blends business sessions with an opportunity to network in arguably New Zealand's party capital.

Tourism New ZealandBoth the changing distribution system and the new Tourism Strategy will impact on the international marketplace and we're delighted that Tourism New Zealand has once again made the annual ITOC Conference their primary communication showcase for 2008. Many of their overseas based Regional Managers will be present to give delegates firsthand impressions of what's hot and what's not across our markets.

Social networking is always an important part of any ITOC Conference and Queenstown is always a fun place to be. Our two major functions are in spectacular locations but will finish early enough to let those with stamina to 'hit the town'. It will be a great relaxed atmosphere in which to do business and socialise so take the opportunity to bring your partner and stay on beforehand or afterwards to explore Queenstown and the surrounding region!

The highlights of the conference include:
¤ One and a half day conference/two nights of entertainment
¤ Tourism New Zealand International Market Update - detailed presentations and an opportunity to interact with Tourism New Zealand senior executives
¤ With an election looming, hear the issues facing tourism from both Labour and National
¤ Industry leader panel sessions to discuss and debate topical issues
¤ Casino Royale welcome function at Coronet Peak - dress to kill in your James Bond attire! [optional night skiing available - equipment/clothing for hire or bring your own]
¤ Gala Function at Skyline Gondola & Restaurant to celebrate the ITOC Operator of the Year
¤ Budget Rent A Car ITOC Masters Golf Tournament at Millbrook (optional)
