ITOC Conference 2010

NZ Inbound in Marlborough - "You're going to love it!"

Introduction & Key Themes

The 2010 ITOC Conference will be held 17/18 August in Marlborough, based at the Marlborough Convention Centre in Blenheim. We will use a similar format to previous year's, blending business sessions with an opportunity to network in the region that's home to the world's best Sauvignon Blanc.

Tourism New ZealandWe're delighted that Tourism New Zealand has once again made the annual ITOC Conference their primary communication showcase for 2010. Many of their overseas based Regional Managers will be present to give delegates firsthand impressions of what's hot and what's not across our markets.

Social networking is always an important part of any ITOC Conference and Marlborough has promised to turn it on for us. Our two major functions are in great locations and will still allow those with stamina to 'hit the town' afterwards. It will be a great relaxed atmosphere in which to do business and socialise so take the opportunity to bring your partner and stay on beforehand or afterwards to explore the Marlborough region!

As a bonus, and to entice you to arrive early, Destination Marlborough is hosting a Welcome Evening on Monday 16 August, the day before the conference commences. Network with local tourism operators and enjoy some of Marlborough's finest wine and food at Wither Hills Winery.

The highlights of the conference include:
¤ One and a half day conference/two nights of entertainment
¤ Tourism New Zealand International Market Update - detailed presentations and an opportunity to interact with Tourism New Zealand senior executives
¤ Industry leader panel sessions to discuss and debate topical issues
¤ New Trade 'Speed Meet' Workshop prior to conference for suppliers to meet with inbound tour operators - either establish new contacts or update existing ones! Short 2-3 minute appointments.
¤ Welcome function (Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre) - 'Crossing the Line' World War II themed cocktail party.
¤ Gala Function (Montana Brancott Estate Winery) to celebrate the ITOC Operator of the Year
¤ Budget Rent A Car ITOC Masters Golf Tournament at a Nopera Golf Course (optional)
