NZ Inbound Tourism Conference 2011

NZ Inbound in the Bay of Plenty - ITOC's 40th Anniversary

Introduction & Key Themes
The NZ Inbound Tourism Conference will be held 15/18 August in coastal Bay of Plenty, based at the Sebel Trinity Wharf in Tauranga. We will use a similar format to previous year's, blending business sessions with an opportunity to network in one of the country's top holiday destinations.

Plus we are celebrating 40 years since the Inbound Tour Operators Council was formed back in 1971!

Tourism New ZealandTourism New Zealand will once again make their valued contributution to the  NZ Inbound Tourism Conference 2011. This year the format will be slightly different with a presentation from Managers on how they are working with trade in the different markets. Once they have given their presentations, there will be a Q and A session with Managers and Inbound operators who are working with them in those destinations.

Social networking is always an important part of any NZ Inbound Tourism Conference and Tourism Bay of Plenty has promised to turn it on for us. It will be a great relaxed atmosphere in which to do business and socialise so take the opportunity to bring your partner and stay on beforehand or afterwards to explore the coastal Bay of Plenty region!

As a bonus, and to entice you to arrive early, Tourism Bay of Plenty is hosting a Welcome Evening on Monday 15 August, the day before the conference commences. Network with local tourism operators and enjoy some of the Bay's finest wine and food!

The highlights of the conference include:
¤ One and a half day conference/two nights of entertainment
¤ Tourism New Zealand International Market and Trade Update -  presentations and an opportunity to interact with Tourism New Zealand senior executives
¤ Industry leader panel sessions to discuss and debate topical issues
¤ Biz2Biz Trade Meet prior to conference for suppliers to meet with inbound tour operators - either establish new contacts or update existing ones! Short 3 minute appointments.
¤ Welcome function (Mills Reef Winery) - themed 70's Disco Fever party.
¤ Gala Function (Classic Flyers Museum) to celebrate our 40th Anniversary and the ITOC Operators of the Year
¤ Budget Rent A Car ITOC Masters Golf Tournament at local Golf Club (optional)
